What is VISIA Complexion Analysis?
Visia Complexion Analysis is a photographic and computerized facial aging analysis tool developed by the Canfield laboratory. Visia offers a quantitative and visual assessment of the skin thanks to its multi-point digital photography technology. The diagnosis provided by VISIA then allows for comprehensive care (cosmetic, medical and surgical).
VISIA consists of a rotating digital photographic device that captures every shade of the skin with precision. The multi-point photographs are then analyzed by software that detects the skin type as well as the main indicators of skin aging.
Among the indicators identified by VISIA are:
- Pimples,
- Blackheads,
- Areas of inflammation,
- Clogged or dilated pores
- Wrinkles and fine lines,
- Skin texture
- Pigment spots
- Sun spots (lentigo)
- Vascular lesions
- Bacterial activity on the skin's surface
A VISIA diagnosis allows you to assess the age of your skin compared to its "real" age. It therefore shows whether "everything is fine" or whether there is an "urgent" need to address your skin and correct the signs and early warning signs of aging.
VISIA also makes it possible to scientifically evaluate the results of aesthetic facial treatments. After one or more aesthetic medicine treatments for the face, VISIA can quantitatively measure their effectiveness.

Visia is one of the diagnostic devices used as part of the diagnostic consultations offered at Dr Cédric Kron's practice. The SkinCeuticals Skinscope is another tool used during these consultations: it detects signs of skin aging before any imperfections even appear.
