Silhouette Soft threads reposition facial tissues and volumes without scarring and without a scalpel. This aesthetic medicine technique for facial rejuvenation can be considered a "lift without surgery".
Silhouette Soft threads offer a dual action: a discreet and natural facial rejuvenation, and a regenerating effect through stimulation of the skin's natural collagen production.
1. Principle of Silhouette Soft threads
Faced with the growing demand for gentle, non-surgical aesthetic medicine techniques to fight the effects of aging, the number and quality of injectable materials has evolved considerably in recent years, and their use has become extremely common.
Silhouette Soft TM threads belong to the class of injectable devices involving only minimal skin breach (needle pricks only). The device has CE marking and has been approved by the FDA (the American equivalent of the ANSM, France's national agency for the safety of medicines and health products).
The basic principle of Silhouette Soft threads involves placing a system of threads in the subcutaneous space to create a re-tensioning of facial tissues.
Silhouette Soft TM threads are made of a resorbable thread of L-polylactic acid, on which small, also resorbable cones of the same material are placed with a bidirectional orientation. This orientation allows for the suspension of tissues once the threads are placed under the skin.
L-polylactic acid is a material already widely used in the manufacture of surgical sutures, both in cosmetic surgery and in other surgical specialties (cardiac, orthopedic, visceral, gynecological...), and has years of proven safety behind it. L-polylactic acid has a genuine ability to promote collagen production in the skin during the resorption process of the thread and the cones.
A Silhouette Soft thread lift is indicated for women and men looking to effectively fight the signs of facial aging without resorting to a heavy, invasive treatment such as surgery, while still wanting a real, natural result.
The goal is to treat sagging in different areas of the face and reposition volumes for a natural result. The areas treated are:
- the cheekbone
- the nasolabial folds
- the jowls
- the corner of the lips
- the facial oval
- the eyebrow
Thread placement can be combined with other rejuvenation techniques, whether medical or surgical: resurfacing (peel, laser, dermabrasion), blepharoplasty (upper and/or lower eyelids), or botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid injections, which complement the treatment more naturally than large-volume injections on tissues that haven't been repositioned.
The treatment is suitable for all skin types, but it is not recommended in cases of allergy or sensitivity to biomaterials.

Face diagnostic consultation:
To support you in treating the signs of facial aging and help determine whether a thread lift treatment matches your needs and your expectations, the practice offers a face diagnostic consultation. During this diagnostic, an in-depth assessment of your facial skin will help develop a tailored treatment protocol.
2. What happens during a Silhouette Soft lift session
Placing the threads generally only requires local anesthesia, obtained by injecting an anesthetic product at the start of the session, applied very locally at the puncture points.
The duration of a Silhouette Soft thread placement is between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the number of areas to be treated, the extent of the improvements needed, and whether anesthesia is required.
The number of threads to be placed varies depending on many parameters, which the surgeon will assess as precisely as possible beforehand. Generally, 2 threads per side of the face are used to treat the cheekbones, nasolabial folds and jowls.
3. Recovery after a thread lift
Within the 6 hours following thread placement, it is recommended to stay calm, rest and avoid any strenuous exertion. It is also advisable to avoid moving the face as much as possible (avoid facial expressions, talking too much, or laughing).
For 3-5 days, it is preferable to avoid consuming alcohol, aspirin, or anti-inflammatory drugs. Sun exposure and sauna use should also be avoided.
The immediate recovery period may be marked by the appearance of slight edema (swelling) and skin redness, the extent of which varies by patient but generally remains moderate. As such, a Silhouette Soft lift allows for a very quick return to normal social and professional life. These effects disappear completely within 2 to 10 days.
More rarely, during the first few days, some skin sensitivity, itching, paleness, hyperpigmentation, or small localized bruises may be observed at the injection points.
