Skinbooster treatments use the hydrophilic properties of hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate the skin. Unlike hyaluronic acid injections aimed at creating and restoring facial volume, Skinboosters combine this volumizing effect with deep hydration of the skin to help fight the effects of skin aging.
Offered by the Spega laboratory, Sisthaema is the latest generation of Skinbooster treatments. Sisthaema's specificity lies in a unique formula that combines hyaluronic acid with trehalose, a molecule capable of protecting hyaluronic acid from enzymatic degradation.
It should be noted that hyaluronic acid naturally breaks down in the body. Every day, we renew around 3g of hyaluronic acid in our skin. This renewal process becomes less efficient with age, starting in our forties. Thanks to the trehalose in Sisthaema's unique formula, the effect of hyaluronic acid is prolonged and amplified compared to other products based on non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid (most skinboosters).
Sisthaema's unique combination can capture more water than other products based on linear hyaluronic acid, improving deep skin hydration.
Unlike injectables based on standard hyaluronic acid, which mainly induce the production of fibrotic collagen (type I), Sisthaema mainly stimulates the production of reticular collagen (type III), an elastic type of collagen that predominates in young skin.
Thanks to this unique formula, Sisthaema offers effective skin regeneration that continues for several weeks after the injection.
Clinical trials conducted by the laboratory have shown a superior and longer-lasting effect than other Skinbooster-type injectables. They also demonstrated a high degree of safety (notably an absence of inflammatory response).
Indications for Sisthaema treatment
Sisthaema can be used to deeply hydrate all skin areas of the body. It is particularly effective at correcting:
- The hollow, deflated appearance of the face, which can benefit from a skin "lifting" effect
- The skin of the décolleté, which becomes thin and less elastic over time
- Neck wrinkles
- Wrinkles and imperfections on the hands
Immediate results that last for several weeks
While improvements are visible immediately after treatment, the bio-regeneration provided by Sisthaema continues in the weeks following the injection session. Thanks to its unique formula, the skin continues to regenerate from within for up to 2 months after the session.
For an optimal result, 2 sessions spaced one month apart are recommended. For an even more significant result, particularly for skin heavily affected by photo/chrono-aging, 3 sessions spaced 15 days apart may be offered.
Maintenance injections every 3 to 6 months are recommended to maintain the result over the long term.
