What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid has the particularity of retaining water (hydrophilic effect), which compensates for missing volume. It is a substance found in the tissues of all living organisms.
The hyaluronic acid manufactured by the laboratories used by Dr. Kron is a pure, non-animal-derived hyaluronic acid gel, which is broken down naturally by the body just like the hyaluronic acid contained in the human body.
Indications for a non-surgical rhinoplasty
A non-surgical rhinoplasty is intended for patients who wish to avoid a surgical procedure and who present the following anatomical characteristics:
- A hollow at the tip of the nose
- A depression around the nostrils
- A projection deficit at the tip of the nose
- A saddle nose (hollowed nose)
- A depression giving the nose a deviated appearance.
A filler injection is also indicated for patients who wish to make a slight touch-up to the shape of their nose following a surgical rhinoplasty.
The use of hyaluronic acid is also indicated for patients with an African, Asian or mixed-heritage type nose who do not wish to undergo an ethnic rhinoplasty.
A rhinoplasty by filler injection cannot treat excess tissue in the nose; a surgical rhinoplasty is then the only suitable treatment.
What happens during a non-surgical rhinoplasty
The hyaluronic acid injection is performed directly at the consultation practice.
Depending on the indication, it may be performed without anesthesia, with contact anesthesia (EMLA cream, cold), or under local anesthesia.
The injections are only slightly painful. Only redness and slight swelling at the injection sites may be present for a few hours, and more rarely a small, easily concealed bruise. A normal return to daily activities is possible immediately after a non-surgical rhinoplasty.
Results of a non-surgical rhinoplasty
The result of the injection can be assessed immediately after the procedure.
Duration of the result
Hyaluronic acid is a resorbable product. The result achieved is therefore not permanent: its effect tends to fade over time. The longevity of the result varies depending on the mobility and skin depth of the injected area and the type of product used.

Contraindications:
